Labor Day & Lollypops

One thing I love about my girls is how much they like mud and dirt and sticks and bugs... When I see them covered in dust and dirt and twigs I can almost picture them growing up in PNG (the beautiful place where I was raised and where "a kid could be a kid"). Here's Havster playing in the mud and having the time of her life...
Of course taking a little time out to come greet a huge & beautiful black Great Dane that was tethered in the nature play area... (dog's are always worth taking time out for in our book).
It was delightful watching the mud cover more and more of her, until finally....
I just giggled (and of course told her no more eating the mud). So she agreed and wandered over to watch some guys throwing a frisbee around.
Doesn't that look fun? Man, Ava Gray is gonna love this place : )

Ok, so sometimes we clean up & even do our hair (the ponytail shown below lasted approximately 2.5 minutes - a record). The whole "beauty is worth a little pain" is not given a lot of weight around here...
And you probably already know this, but these girls can really ham it up. Watch Ava Gray demonstrating the "universal sign for choking" and Havyn "smiling" for the camera.
And then there was Labor Day. Spent with dear friends (Ana, KP & Laura D) and some amazing food, and the two little girls we all love & adore:
Love this little series of the girl who is supposedly "disabled" doing gymnastics in her "wheelchair" : )
After we cleaned up after the festivities outdoors, we snuggled up on the couch before bed. Freshly bathed little girls in their pj's....they're scrumptious!
And then there was a "baby dinosaur" who got very sick and needed to see a dinosaur doctor at once. Lucky for her, there was one in the house who was able to see her immediately:
Ava Gray didn't mind missing out on the "dino-physical" as she was busy snuggling up with her BFF:
And then just some fun pics of everyday life. Eating (we use that term loosely) at the table:
The dog who is staying with us for a while, with her "spaghetti mustache" (thanks Havyn):
Havyn's first movie theater experience (complete with buttered popcorn):
Sometimes even though Ava Gray tries to go to bed at a decent hour, we follow her downstairs and party with her for a while. She's a good sport about it.
And whenever we get the chance, we love to visit the girls' Abuelito's. The girls have so much fun with their grandparents. See?
Sometimes there are special treats at Grandma & Grandpa Blanco's house. Like LOLLYPOPS : )
Ava Gray had no intention of being left out:
We love the Blanco fam - they are such treasures!  Speaking of treasures...Ana! : ) (She asked me to take these pictures of her "working hard on the job" and then she giggled - we love her so!)
And lastly, my apple-girl. She eats them before bed, in the car, on her walks, and apparently...by the pool.
Well friends & fam, there are many good things to share with you about what God's doing in our lives, but it'll have to wait till then next post. In the meantime, thanks for stopping by!
