And Home Again

Friends,

We are home. And 2 out of 3 of us are fast asleep (yay!). It was a good day. We all slept in there at the hospital. We relaxed. We were discharged around 11, then stopped by for an appointment with Ava Gray's cardiologist before leaving the hospital. (News from that: heart surgery may be postponed for another 6 months). We came home to a clean house (thank you Diane & Laura - the floors are actually shining!), unpacked everything, started feeds, and the girls went right down. I'm heading there myself shortly, but wanted to thank you so much for your prayers & messages of encouragement this week. And to share a few photo's of our recent Vandy adventure. : ) (Also - many of you asked what was done in this latest surgery. Sorry that I didn't explain that! Ava Gray's VA shunt had a blood clot in it that they couldn't dislodge with the TPA injections like they'd hoped. The only way to fix the problem was to go in and replace the bottom part of her shunt that feeds into her heart. She has a new scar on the back of her head, and a little one on the side of her neck to show for this latest visit to the OR. This girl is a little warrior!)

Okay, so here's some pictures of our friends who came to visit us and made this stay so SO much easier....

Our sweet Sarah.

Kristina may kill me for sending this pic, but I LOVE it (Don't kill me K-Tina, K?). KP & Havester are really good friends & just love hanging out....

Lauren & Tiff (So great to see you both again! Havyn obviously thought so too) : )

Havyn rockin a hoodie. Which we took off shortly after the picture was taken. They are pretty useless on a baby. Seriously.

Laura & Ava Gray showing off AG's new pillow. It sure came in handy! Thanks Laura.

Taken this morning of my sweet girl. Ooh, but I love her!

Love this one too : )

A little panoramic view of our accommodations last night. AG always gets the spiffy bed!
While Havyn gets the pull-out couch. (No, I did not leave her unattended here).

We don't have pictures of everyone who came by (Misti, that was an amazing back-rub, when I came to, it was the middle of the night - thank you!), All our sweet Nurses from the NICU - we just love you guys. : ) And if anyone else came by that I forgot to mention, forgive me!)

Thankful to be home and to realize what a hard thing He just brought us through with such power and mercy. We were absolutely carried through it! ......Thank you Heavenly Father. You are so loving to us. We love you!

Tired & heading to bed,
Jules
