Quiet House

The Woolston women have left, and now it is us three again. Girls stirring a little but still sleeping. I am thinking & thankful. Donna & Keely put in some late nights and were so sweet. We will miss them! And will fondly remember their week here. A lot happened in that short little span of time. They were here for:
  • Havyn's first belly-laugh (thank you Amy Davis!)
  • The beginnings of Ava Gray's hour long "performances" (zerberting the air is now one of her favorite pastimes)
  • Our first road trip (hips squished between two car seats still recovering)
  • The first meeting of Ava Gray & cousin Rose (We ♥ our cousin Rose)
  • The first movie the girls ever slept through together (Breakfast at Tiffany's)
  • The girls first professional photo shoots (Keely is really. good.)
  • Mama discovering that her girls are allergic to dairy. Goodbye milk (all 7 gallons that we get monthly), and cheese (yep, that's gonna be hard).
  • Hayvn bustin' out of her 0-3 months and fitting quite nicely into the next size up. Ava Gray deciding 2 days later to do the same. Hello 6 months! (Keely & I had just finished sorting baby clothes and getting the 0-3 clothes into their nursery drawers. Now to do it all over again!)
  • First "oh, we seem to be locked out of the house" moment. (Thank you KP for the speedy rescue!)
  • Due to the lock-out, first "blanket in backyard" time for the girls. They really seemed to love grabbing at the grass surrounding their blankets and stuffing pieces of it into whatever crevices were handy (necks, spaces between toes, etc). The weather was perfect too. Cept for the bugs, it was a grand time!
  • Mama's "meltdown" night (so tired I didn't even here the alarms going off... as these go off at least  once an hour to signify something thats needs being done, it was rather a sleepless night for the Woolston women as well!)
  • The (re) starting of some beautiful friendships between mama and the Woolston gals.
  • Mama's first trip to Jeni's ice cream (hours after being told by girls doc to go dairy free). No, I did not indulge, but I got to see up close and personal some mighty tasty-looking ice-cream flavors!
Thank you Donna & Keely. For the sacrificial sleepless nights, the GPS navigation system (that only works when Keely's in the car), for calling me out to be present in my relationships in a new way, for shared laughter over these two little ones, and for the package that is coming any day now (containing the full set of Winnie the Pooh). Come back soon!
