Friendly Visitors

So I had a birthday. And it was great. I'm now 38 (I had a friend calculate for me as I'm already starting to lose track). It was such a fun day. I had friends drop by. With gifts, cards, and misc. food items (Cari Sands, those homemade raspberry ice-cream bars were decadent!) The following Friday we had a small soiree here at the house to celebrate joint birthdays (mine & Andrea Lucado's). Here's some pics from that day and a few of friends that stopped by that week.

Our friend Shannon. Not pictured (taking the picture), his dad: Kevin Collins. And partially-pictured: Sarah H.  (Whom we ♥) Interesting side-note: this catches me in the act of feeding Ava Gray without her pump. The pump had stopped working. Which made for a more...interesting.. day. Thank goodness for said friend, Sarah H! She helped me figure out how to feed sans pump (although we had to outsource the math part of that to Shannon & Kevin Collins). Nice teamwork, friends!
Gabe & her mom & the girls. 4 Sweeties!
Gabester (not her real name, don't try to call her that) stopped by the night before the birthday bash and helped calm the girls down. It was a tag-teamin, lets-not-sleep till 9pm, sorta night, so mama was very grateful! See here Gabe's two-handed approach to the situation. Nicely done, Gabe.
And while she was here, Gabe snapped a few of us during our story time. This may or may not be a reenactment of actual story time. Pictures of the actual story time may or may not have turned out. See what great actresses these two are?
Also pre-party: the girls' K-Tina stopped by to help them get dressed for the big event.  Havyn seems impressed with her selection. : )
Ava Gray seems pretty happy with her get-up as well.
Honestly though, the whole reason for these particular outfits, was to go with K-Tina's favorite shoes.  Stylin, girls, styin!
Proof of a birthday. I loved the wrapping. Almost (but not quite) as much as what was inside the box. (Won't tell what it is but it's from Bolivia, and you may see me carrying it around all summer....fall....winter).
Fellow birthday-girl, Andrea along with Minja Beth and Katy M (who brought some really tasty hummus! Thanks Katy)
Friends. Love em!
It truly was a fun one. Thanks to all my dear friends who helped me celebrate. And Miranda, that sparking ginger tea (even the two bottles you left behind): enjoyed down to the very last drop. Thanks girl!!
